How to use cdbx
Email & Notifications

Email & Notifications

Email

cdbx sends two kinds of email, and only one of them is optional.

Account email always sends. Billing receipts, security notices, and the message confirming your account was created. These are how we tell you about payments and account changes, so they can't be turned off.

Marketing email is opt-in. Product updates, announcements, and promotional offers only go to people who asked for them. You are not opted in by signing up or by accepting the Terms — there's a separate checkbox when you sign in for the first time, and it starts unticked.

Tick it and your welcome email includes a code for 50% off Pro. Leave it and you get a plain welcome message instead.

Changing your mind

Go to App Preferences → Email communication and use the toggle. It works both ways, any time.

Every marketing email also has an unsubscribe link at the bottom that works without signing in, and most mail apps will show their own Unsubscribe button next to our name. All three do the same thing.

Notifications

The bell in the sidebar holds two tabs.

Notifications are things that happened on your account — an agent run finishing, an auto-refill going through, a billing problem. A red badge shows how many you haven't read. Clicking one marks it read and takes you to whatever it's about.

Latest news is announcements from us about new features. Nothing badges this tab, so it's worth a look now and then.

The bell only appears when the sidebar is expanded.
