How to use cdbx
Your Profile

Your Profile

Public profile

Every cdbx user has a public profile at cdbx.ai/username. Anyone can open it, signed in or not. It shows your name, your @username, your photo, and the Apps you've made public. It can also show a bio, location, company and website, and a GitHub link if you've connected GitHub.

Your email address is never shown.

Only apps that are public and not archived appear. Private or archived apps are never shown to others. Each card shows its ★ star count, if it has any.

Choose what's shown

Open Profile in your dashboard. Under Public profile you can switch off:

  • Show my profile: hides the whole page. To everyone else, your username looks like it doesn't exist. Apps you've published still open from their own links. Changes reach everyone within 30 seconds. A hidden profile, or a hidden app list, is also left out of the list cdbx gives search engines.
  • Photo: shows your initial instead.
  • Apps: leaves the list of your public apps off the page.

Your details

Under About you, write your name, bio, location, company and website, then press Save. Each detail except your name has its own switch, so you can keep it off your public page. For a website, example.com is enough; https:// is added for you.

GitHub is optional. Connecting it (under GitHub) shows your GitHub username, fills in any details that are still empty, and lets you export apps to GitHub. It never changes what you wrote, or your @username. Copy from GitHub replaces your details with your GitHub profile's when you want it to.

Press View to see your profile the way everyone else does.

Pinned apps

Pin up to 6 apps to feature them on your profile. Open the (⋮) menu on any app card and select Pin to profile. Pinned apps come first on your public profile, marked with a pin.

Pinned items also float to the top of your own dashboard list so you can reach them quickly.

Your dashboard

When you visit cdbx.ai/username while signed in as that user, you see your personal dashboard rather than the public profile view. The dashboard includes your private apps, plus additional controls that are not visible to others.

To see exactly what visitors see, press View under Public profile.
